What is Colegio "San José" de Catia La Mar?
It is a family private school founded on March 19, 1969 by the Cásares Zurita sisters, which currently serves 527 students from early education to the 5th year of high school.
What happened to the school?
The earthquake on June 24, 2026, which severely affected the state of La Guaira, caused the total collapse of the school’s classroom building and affected the infrastructure of the rest of the buildings, forcing its temporary closure.
What is the campaign goal?
The goal is $1,000,000 USD: $250,000 for immediate emergency aid and $750,000 for the reconstruction of the school infrastructure.
