Let us restore a safe education to hundreds of students.
Colegio "San José" de Catia La Mar educated generations of young people since 1969. After the earthquake on June 24, 2026, its campus was severely damaged. Today we work to rebuild a safe, technological, and hopeful space for our 480 students and their families.

An institution that built a future for La Guaira and many families.
Founded in 1969 by the Cásares Zurita sisters, the school began as the preschool “Toby and Lulú” and grew into an educational reference in the area, with early childhood, primary, secondary, and a strong social commitment.
Its impact went beyond academics: it became an educational home where students learned to excel, persevere, and look toward the future with confidence. Many graduates earned medals, stood out in their class, graduated, and now work successfully abroad.

A legacy of love, discipline, and excellence.
The founders of the school did not only build an institution; they planted a way of caring for students as if they were part of their own family. That vision gave rise to a community that is now recognized by the spirit of “The Great San José Family.”
That is why this school is not only important for the area: it represents a story of human formation, real opportunities, and results that transcended the classrooms. The Great San José Medal symbolizes excellence, perseverance, and the commitment of each generation that has passed through its halls.
